Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) combustion is a promising clean coal technology with merits in high efficiency, good fuel flexibility, low NOx formation and low-cost in situ desulfurization. The unit capacity of the CFB boiler has been scaled-up continuously, and the steam parameter has graduated from subcritical to supercritical and ultra-supercritical (USC). The International Conference on Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler (CFBB) is an annual conference focusing on the development and application of science and technology with the purpose of enhancing technology exchange and promoting R&D on the field of CFBB to fulfill the demand of the end user.
The 3rd CFBB will be held in Samcheok, South Korea, hosted by the PNU-KOSPO CFBC Research Center of Pusan National University (PNU) and Korea Southern Power Company (KOSPO).
